Welcome Letter – 8/31/20

Northside Preparatory Academy Families

Just a reminder that school starts Wednesday, September 2nd! We are excited to welcome our traditional and hybrid students to the building and look forward to seeing our online students via canvas!

Doors will open at 7:30am for breakfast.  Instruction will begin at 8:00am.  Student who arrive after 8:00am are considered tardy.  Students will not be able to enter the building prior to 7:30am.

For our online students, once you login at 8:00am, you will see a button for orientation. Your first assignment is to complete the orientation module. Each teacher will have their schedule posted with a time for the live welcome session for the first day of school.

To help prepare for virtual classes the AMP Support Team will be hosting Virtual Information Meetings every day starting August 31st – September 8th 9am-10am.  Families can drop in at their convenience to join the AMP and Tech Support teams for virtual Office hours.  Families can learn the key steps to utilize AMP such as how to log-in, access live sessions, contact teachers and more.  Families can also ask questions and participate in demos about navigating AMP.  Here is the link to the meeting:

If you haven’t picked up your student(s) Chromebook or login information, please call the school office at (513) 541-2276.

As a reminder, due to COVID-19, parents will not be permitted in the building.  We know this is inconvenient especially on the first day of school.  We want to ensure safety for our staff and students.  Staff will be available to help students get to their classes and bring in supplies.  Please make sure that all supplies are in a book bag or plastic bag for easy carrying.

Students in grades K-5 will report to the Main Building and have their temperature checked at the door.  Students will sanitize their hands, pick up their breakfast and report directly to class.  Students in grades 6th-8th will report to the ANNEX Building and follow the same protocol.

All students are to be in complete uniform each day of school.

We thank our families for entrusting your students to the Northside staff!  It is our goal to follow all required guidelines to ensure our staff and students remain safe and healthy.

We look forward to seeing students on Wednesday!

Ms. Clark
